1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Compact Lifting Equipment LLC ("CLE," "we," "us"), 401 W. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464, collects, uses, shares, and retains information in connection with the CLE Customer Portal.

It covers the Portal and the account-opening process. It does not cover information collected offline, at a job site, or through separate agreements, except where stated.

Technical information. Authentication session data, IP address, browser and device information, pages accessed, and error and diagnostic data. Error and diagnostic reports may include IP address and request details.

3. How we use information

  • To evaluate and open rental accounts, including credit and risk assessment
  • To verify identity, business existence, authority, insurance, and tax status
  • To prepare, deliver, and execute rental agreements and related documents
  • To quote, schedule, deliver, and invoice equipment rentals
  • To service accounts, including collections and enforcement of guarantees
  • To periodically revalidate account and insurance status
  • To detect and prevent fraud and misuse
  • To operate, secure, support, and improve the Portal
  • To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims

We do not use the information described in this policy for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell it.

4. Consumer reports and credit information

Where an individual authorizes it in the credit application, CLE obtains consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act for permissible purposes including evaluating a personal guarantee, evaluating a business credit request where the individual is a principal or guarantor, setting or reviewing terms, account review, collection, and enforcement.

The specific authorizations, disclosures, and any adverse action notices are provided through the credit application and through separate FCRA notices, and control over any general statement here.

5. How we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers performing functions on our behalf, under contract, including cloud hosting and storage, authentication, identity and business verification, document processing, electronic signature, accounting and bookkeeping, rental management, and error monitoring
  • Consumer and commercial reporting agencies, in connection with credit evaluation and account review
  • Insurers, sureties, and claims administrators, in connection with coverage, damage waivers, and claims
  • Professional advisors, including counsel and accountants
  • Government authorities, where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, and in connection with government contracting obligations
  • A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. How we protect information

Information is stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Documents containing sensitive identifiers are stored in a private, non-public repository and served only through authenticated, permission-checked requests. Access within CLE is limited by role, and sensitive identifiers such as Social Security numbers are masked in normal use and available in full only to authorized staff for a permitted purpose.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you submit information at your own risk.

7. How long we keep information

We retain information for as long as an account is active and afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, contractual, and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements.

When an account is closed, the account and its users are archived rather than immediately erased, and records required for compliance are retained.

8. Your choices

Access and correction. You may request access to, or correction of, information in your account by contacting inbound@cleamerica.com or by editing it in the Portal where editing is available.

Marketing. If you receive marketing email from CLE, you may opt out using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Transactional and account messages are not marketing and continue regardless.

Credit and identity information. Rights concerning consumer reports, including the right to dispute inaccurate information, are described in the notices provided under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and by the reporting agency.

State privacy rights. Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to appeal a denial of those rights. Note that much of what CLE collects is business-to-business or credit-related information that is exempt from, or treated differently under, several state privacy laws. To make a request, contact inbound@cleamerica.com.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

The Portal uses only cookies that are necessary for authentication, session management, and security, plus a preference cookie that remembers your interface theme. It does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

10. Children

The Portal is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date and, where required, communicated to account holders.
